The MAX4788EXS+T is a 100mA current limit switch in 4 pin SC-70 package. This switch features an internal current limiting to prevent host device from being damaged due to faulty load conditions, analogue switch has a low 0.7ohm on-resistance and operate from 2.3V to 5.5V input voltage range. It has an autoretry feature where the switch turns off after the blanking time and then continuously checks to see if the overload condition is present. The switch remains on after the overload condition disappears. The current limits makes device ideal for load-switching applications, it is also used at PDAs and palmtop devices, cell phones and GPS systems.
